Fuji's KR Concept from Anglers Resource
Very well organized and presented. Thank you
Hi ! May I know the size and weight of this guide? In gram?
If what u say is true and that there is every variation to consider while setting up the guides ,how then would u best match a pre fabricated rod with a reel at the shop for people like me who can't build one.
Very nice guides. I’ve been building with Fuji for 17 years now. Thank you for the informative video, and a bit of fishing. I thought it was funny hearing your buddy say “look at that swirl” at 2:54or so.
Thank you for the helpful video. A constructive criticism...the audio wasn't very good
Thanks for your work. Love from Europe!
I wonder on how to open the kdps hood for paint job..
@ 2:58 what lure is this
Where do you get the kdps hidden thread hood in the black from? I can only find the normal silver, gunmetal etc.
Black has been discontinued. The substitute is the BC finish.
@@AnglersresourceNet makes me very sad :( I think it was the best looking one
Another question sorry... What size of the first ring do you use for the KDPS sleeve. I'm using a KDPS size 17mm and not sure which size ring to buy
Don't know anything about the US-market, but 2500 reel size Shimano in Europe equals 3000. At least in spool size. And 1000 equals 2000. That's why he propably should have chosen reel size 3000 if he plans to use a 2500.
Slip a piece of snug fitting and squared off tubing over the threads and use that as a guide.
Off topic but jgs it blows my mind there's barely any comments or likes for a video about such a long discussed topic from a leader in the field while it's been watching nearly 150 thousand times. Big thanks to Fuji for making these videos. I just finished my first custom rod following the Fuji KR concept and the first time I cast it I was amazed by the clean smooth vortex created in my line. I'm not sure how Fuji can improve on this design but I have a feeling they're trying. Thanks again.
The problem is they have only 1 piece blanks.
Doesn't sound like a problem to me.
@@Tyler-kw9ce I'm glad for you
Did you here something?
I just purchased a 7' MF Daiwa Kage spinning rod. It has Fuji Alcolite K-series guides. They look like Micro guides. My question, Will I be able to use lets say 10# j-braid with 10# flouro leader line on this rod? The knot I Tie is uni to uni, will it pass through those guides ok?
Always nice to get feedback???
Very good. Thank you
What’s the reference of the Blank of your spinning rod? Can you give us the specificity of the spacing distribution of the Fuji rings. As well as the sizes of the Fuji rings. Thanks again for your videos. Really very informative.
Chris, we use a software on our site. Please refer to it and then the Static Load turorial for placement of running guides. Hope this helps!
ANGLERS RESOURCE I Regarding the placement of the rings I understood. I will use the solution. Can you tell me which spinning rod blank reference you use in the video. I thank you in advance.
This was a great help fer a new rod builder!! Lookin forward to more vids! Richard from Kansas;)
Good Video Jim...would love to see more.
I used the method of the reel diameter and used that with some basic math to come up with the choker guide position and then worked from there. It is interesting how the guides look on the blank. I still have not tried the rod.
Thank you! I'm new to rod building and was trying to avoid cookbook rod building. This video was a great help.
Good content and described clearly. Can you last out where would start with the choking guides, and what those positions are based on ( fixed distance from several rods built, or x degrees into, or before a specific arc deflection in the rod? Thank you in advance
Shane we will get into more details in upcoming videos. For now just adopt the "point of view" that you can work things out with nothing more than than the reel and the blank to get started.
I have been building rods for years and this is the first time someone explain that guide spacing charts don't always work. I had three carp rods built by JLS custom rods and Ron asked me all the questions you addressed. I can say without a doubt these three rods perform like no other rods a Have or built. Im too old to etar down my old rods, but Ron Buffington will get more business from me down the road. Thanks again
Thanks, Joe. I learned this way of thinking from Fuji a decade ago when I went to work for Anglers Resource and it has made every project so much easier!
Good information... as a newer rod builder who is getting comfortable with the craft, moving away from charts to a more in depth understanding of the concept of a guide train is an important step... this certainly helps!
That's the idea Charles. Keep it up!
2:57- k concept lure
I sent my address . How long does it take to get the poster?
Where can I get this poster?
Send your mailing address to info@anglersresource.net
We need a video like this for the SK2
Thank you, ANGLERS RESOURCE, for explaining FUJI's concepts to the english speaking world!
This is more of an introduction to Fuji's KR-C than it is an explanation, not starting before 2:25.
didn't think it would be possible to look at 1 reel seat and talk about it for over 20 minutes. good watch.
Great video! I already have the poster and it looks great and very high quality!
What spinning rod are you using please?
How does stiffness "amplify" line behavior? And why use fluorocarbon on guides intended for braid?
fluorocarbon's stiffness amplifies line's behavior to make it easier to evaluate. If it can handle fluoro then braids would not be a problem. You should be fine using 20lb PP in most if not any guide layouts anyway.
Yes... I said "sporting". That was straight from Capt Jeff's post. Hahaha
Why was it tested with stiff fluorocarbon when a lot of people are sporting braids. How would this KR concept handle very limp braid like 20 lb test super slick 8 power pro?
My very same thought.
Damn would love these on my NRX rods
Très belle vidéo merci bien !!
